Uttar Pradesh (UP) power employees protest the alleged provident fund scam
Many power workers in Uttar Pradesh and their families took to the streets on Thursday, opposing the suspected provident fund fraud in the state and calling for a two-day strike by an association.
It is claimed that over Rs 2,600 crore from the provident fund of state power employees (PF) were deposited in the scam-hit Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL), prompting the state government to order a CBI check.
Employees request that the UP government guarantee the payment of a provident fund and arrest the UPPCL’s former CMD, “Syankut Syankut Sangharsh Samiti Vidhyut Karamchari (VKSSS) added, that they will boycott the work of 18 and 19 November.
A CBI examination has already been recommended by the state government and the economic crime wing of the police examines the matter.
It claimed that DHFL was invested in the period from March 2017 to December 2018. The workers and their family took part in a protest rally in the State capital from Hydel Field Hostel to Shakti Bhawan, organized by the VKSSS.
VKSSS Coordinator Shailendra Dubey stated that the government should recruit provident employee funds and book the officials responsible. The government works on alternative methods to ensure the payment to UPPCL staff, Uttar Pradesh Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma said.
The state government is acting strictly against the officials who in the 2014 Samajwadi Party (SP) government illegally transfers PF money to DHFL, “he said. The charges were denied by the president of SP and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.https://www.stategovernmentnews.in/uttar-pradesh-employees-protest-the-alleged-provident-fund-scam/Uttar PradeshPF Scam, provident fund scam,UP State Government News,Uttar Pradesh power employees,Uttar Pradesh State government EmployeesUttar Pradesh (UP) power employees protest the alleged provident fund scamMany power workers in Uttar Pradesh and their families took to the streets on Thursday, opposing the suspected provident fund fraud in the state and calling for a two-day strike by an association. It is claimed that over Rs...admin firstname.lastname@example.orgAdministratorState Government Employees News
