Madhya Pradesh Pensioners press for demands, submit memo

Madhya Pradesh Pensioners Struggle Coordination Committee staged demonstration and submitted a memorandum after taking out rally to the SDM. To press the administration accept the five-point charter of demands, massive demonstration was staged and rally was taken out from Civic Centre Garden to Ghantaghar Omti, where the memorandum addressing to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to representatives of Collector Jabalpur SDM Arvind Singh was submitted. The Madhya Pradesh Government has been appealed to accept these demands repeatedly but inspite of it, pensioners are being harassed financially due to which pensioners are agitated. Pensioners have also clarified that they want to get the orders issued rather mere assurances.

The five-point charter of demand includes benefit of Seventh Pay Commission as such equal to Central Government employees, payment of 18 months arrears with effect of July 17, 2017, approving minimum pension worth Rs 9000, payment of remaining arrears of Sixth Pay Commission of 32 months in cash and Rs 1000 medical allowance equal to central government employees to state government employees. Office-bearers of different organisations apprised pensioners about pending demands, the General Secretary of Pensioners Association Ganesh Joshi, Madhya Pradesh Pensioners Samaj State President D P Dubey, Pensioners Association’s General Secretary H P Urmaliya, General Secretary of Pensioners Association MPSEB M L Chouksey, Pensioners Association Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), S K Paroha, Mohan Agrawal, M L Agrawal, Mahesh Pandey, R S Pandey, D K Tiwari, Surendra Sthapak, R P Yadav, Subhash Agrawal, Anandidev Upadhyay, S C Agrawal, Sharda Prasad Shukla, P L Mishra, R B Mishra, Gaurishankar Pandey, S C Agrawal, Lakhan Rahi, S S Bhatt, S K Byohar, A D Upadhyay, A K Awasthi, K B Mahajan, S S Pandey and others pensioners were also present on the occasion.
